Stitched House

London, 2019

A family home in need of modernisation and extending, with a client with a vision for harmoniously blending old with new. Stitched House started as a loft conversion project and gradually grew to include improvements to other key areas in the house. An oddly arranged original stair required moving to open up a much grander entrance hallway and fluid vertical connection the floors above. This allowed the new loft stair to become an expression of this new found clarity of movement leading to a series of small modern interventions in this large Victorian terraced house.
